Joseph-Marie Cassant was born on March 6, 1878, in Casseneuil, Lot-et-Garonne, France. He was the second son of a devout Catholic farming family. From a young age, Joseph showed a strong inclination towards prayer and a deep love for Jesus, particularly in the Blessed Sacrament.

Vocational Calling:

Feeling a call to religious life, Joseph-Marie desired to become a priest. However, due to his academic struggles, he faced difficulties in pursuing this path. Life as a Trappist Monk:
