The holy Clerus, also called Bilicerius (Licerius, Lycerius, Lucerius) was a Syrian deacon who suffered martyrdom around the year 300 in Antioch in Syria (today Antakya in Turkey). He had to endure torture for seven times and was held in prison for a long time before finally being beheaded. His memorial day in the Martyrologium Romanum is January 7th.
