Early Life and Religious Calling
St. Szymon of Lipnica, also known as Simon of Lipnica, was born in Lipnica Murowana, Poland, in 1435. From a young age, he exhibited a deep piety and a strong inclination towards religious life. Entrance into Religious Life
At the age of 12, Szymon entered the Canons Regular of the Lateran in Stary SΔ cz, Poland. Szymon embraced the monastic life wholeheartedly, committing himself to prayer, study, and service.
Devotion and Service

Miraculous Healing and Veneration

Through Szymon's intercession, the blind man's sight was miraculously restored. Death and Canonization
St. Szymon of Lipnica died on July 18, 1482, at the age of 47. His death was mourned by his fellow canons and the local community, who regarded him as a saintly figure. Szymon's reputation for holiness continued to grow after his death, with reports of miracles and answered prayers attributed to his intercession.
He was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on October 11, 2009, along with other saints of the Polish Church. His feast day is celebrated on July 18th, commemorating his life of devotion, service, and miraculous intercession.
