⛪ Saint of the Day : January 5
⛪ Memorial :
• 5 January • 24 July (finding of relics)
St. Domno, a Martyr to Bergamo, who under the Emperor Maximin for Jesus Christ took off a steadfast confession. He was the grandson of St. Domneo ( 16 July) and brother of St. Eusebia whose memorial is celebrated on the 29th of October. Captured for Bergamo's Christian faith at the time of Emperor Maximian, he was brutally martyred by putting red coals on his head. But when he did not utter the least sorrow of pain, but rather praised and praised God, many converted to the Christian faith. Finally, in 307, he was killed at the gates of the city, and at the side of his Holiness. Grandfather's burial place in the Church of St. Andreas.
