MIND YOUR ATTITUDE - There Is Still Room
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 2:5
St. Paul shows us the mind that changes everything - though Jesus was God, He emptied Himself, took the form of a servant, and became obedient even to death on a cross. That is why God exalted Him and gave Him the Name above every name.
We are called to have that same humble mind. The problem is we get too busy with our own things.
In the Gospel, a man makes a great banquet and invites many, but one by one they make excuses - "I bought a field, I bought oxen, I got married." Good things, but they let good things keep them from the best thing.
How often do we say "Later, Lord"? But the master does not close the banquet. He says, "Go out to the streets and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind." And still there is room.
There is still room for you today. God is not waiting for your perfect performance, He is waiting for your yes. Let go of one excuse and come to His table, and your day will become lighter.
Prayer: Jesus, give me Your humble heart. Free me from my excuses and bring me to Your banquet today.
