πΏ O Jesus, You are the Word of God made flesh, and Saint Jerome said that ignorance of the scriptures is ignorance of God. As secretary to the Pope, he received the commission to translate the Bible from its original languages into Latinβthe Vulgate. I ask him to pray for my time spent reading scripture and my ability to translate it into everyday life. Inspire me, O Lord, to discover more fully what the Bible teaches about Your love and anoint my mind to understand what it says about holy living. Use Your Word to show me how to fulfill the calling You have placed upon my life.
Saint Jerome, Pray for me. Amen.
